New Energy Rating
The EU energy label was first introduced back in 1995. It was designed to provide accurate, recognisable and comparable information on domestic household products regarding energy consumption and is considered one of the drivers of technological progress in appliances. It is a legal requirement to display this label on the appliance, in retail outlets and on any websites.
Over the years, continued improvements in energy saving technology have elevated large household appliances to the top of the rating scale, between A to A+++ , however this is limiting any further advances in technology.
In order to allow for this, the space between these energy ratings must be rescaled and this has resulted in a new energy label with new measurement criteria in place.
The new energy label will ensure plenty of space within the industry for development and allow customers to compare products much more easily.

Preservation
In order to better preserve the ideal conditions of wine, Smeg has developed an accurate solution for each one of them.
Temperature: the ideal range to correctly preserve and age different wines is generally between 8°C and 16°C.
Light: light and UV rays can alter a wines organoleptic structure, thus it should be stored in a protected environment.
Humidity: this important variable must be between 60% and 80% to prevent wine oxidation.
Protection against vibration: even the smallest vibrations can have a negative impact on wine, thus it is essential that bottles are stored steady.
Timeless Design
With its strict design form, the simple classic aesthetic is timeless – fitting into a contemporary or traditional kitchen setting with ease. The range is made up of a series co-ordinating appliances finished in smart stainless steel with matching controls and handles. The collection comprises ovens, coffee machines, hobs, extractor hoods, dishwashers and wine coolers.
Independent Temperature and Light Zones
Smeg under-counter wine coolers feature 2 independent temperature zones. It is possible to set the temperature necessary for red wines, still white wines and/or sparkling wines.
